Nestled in the forest, Amate Camp Retreat Center provides a natural pool, paved trails, a breathtaking yoga shala, and a traditional temezcal for you to escape the bustle of busy life, recharge, and reconnect in nature. We'll explore the mind-body-heart connection through a series of daily yoga classes, morning meditations, breathwork experiences, and nourishing meals made with locally sourced ingredients from the lands of Mexico.

NOURISHING MEALS
We see food as the foundation of our wellbeing and pride ourselves on the intentional details that go into each handmade meal at our retreats. Our aim is to provide nourishment prepared with an attitude of love and gratitude, in alignment with the seasons and the local environment. You’ll receive three organic meals a day with an unlimited tea and fruit bar. Expect authentic Mexican dishes, coconut curry, Buddha bowls, falafels, and more.
DAILY YOGA & MEDITATION
Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, our classes are designed to integrate fluid movement, alignment focus, and breath awareness. We will begin everyday with a morning meditation overlooking the mountains and end every night with yin and sound healing. We offer modifications and variations for experience level. No previous yoga experience required to join in. Props and mats provided.
SACRED PRACTICES
Immersed in the nature of Tepoztlan, we’ll spend the afternoons diving deep in spiritual practice. We will offer a traditional temezcal ceremony to get you out of your mind and into your body. Join in for a guided breathwork session to purify the heart and work through any physical or emotional blocks. Take a refreshing dip in the freshwater pool, rest in the greenery of the garden during the day, and embrace the glow of the starlit sky at night.

Welcome to Amate Camp, a renowned retreat center nestled in the mystic mountains of Tepoztlan, Mexico.
This space offers a breathtaking yoga shala overlooking the volcanic mountains and lush, green forest. Enjoy different movement practices in the garden with the sounds of nature, grounded, and connected with mother earth. Amate also includes a pool and jacuzzi to enjoy during your free time to tap into calmness, contemplation, and integrate your deep, healing work.
Beyond the borders of the center lives a beautiful, juniper forest lined with pine trees and volcanic rocks. Each room in Amate camp has a unique eco jungle vibe and beautiful views. All rooms are supplied with organic, non-toxic mattresses and linens, organic towels, and natural bath products. Rest easy and rest with peace. You can feel the layers of intention woven into every special detail of Amate.

Your retreat package rate is dependent on your room selection. We offer private and shared room options. We welcome friends and couples to book shared rooms together. Solo travelers booking shared rooms will be paired with another solo traveler. All rooms are eco friendly with a cozy jungle vibe, please view your accommodations below.

Amate Camp is located in the magical mountain town of Tepoztlán just 1.5 hour drive from Mexico City.
The best way to arrive at Amate Camp is by Uber from Mexico City Airport. The Uber will pick you up directly from the aiport and take you straight to Amate Camp. Ubers from MEX are safe, quick, and easy!

Given the nature of travel these days, we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover your flight and trip. Insuremytrip.com offers a variety of affordable options. We also recommend Squaremouth Insurance or Travelex.

While retreat attendees do not need to show proof of vaccination status or test results to attend this retreat, we do ask you to take care of your health prior to travel. We cannot provide refunds for health-related cancellations. For this reason we highly recommend purchasing adequate travel insurance to cover the entire cost of your trip.

All deposits are 100% non-refundable. You may cancel your reservation up to 90 days before the retreat (until February 27, 2024) and receive a full refund of the amount paid, less the $500 non-refundable deposit. There will be no refunds thereafter for any reason. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your personal security. In the event that the retreat has to cancel due to a force majeure, we will reschedule the retreat and your payments will be applied toward the new retreat date.
